The towns of Franklin County, typically busy with local elections and town meetings this time of year, are doing what they can to preserve democracy and maintain the safety of their residents. Please check the list below for information regarding your town.
Due to Covid-19, the Secretary of State’s Office is allowing early voting for municipal elections held before June 30. The state has also relaxed the requirements for absentee ballots and anyone who considers themselves to be quarantined at the time of the election can apply for an absentee ballot. Local officials encourage voters to vote by mail to protect the safety of voters and poll workers.

Ashfield
The Annual Town Election originally scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2020 has been postponed until June 27, 2020. Annual Town Meeting will also be June 27, 2020, at 10am. Location TBD. Please click here for updates.

The Annual Town Elections will be held June 29, 2020, from 12pm till 6pm at Town Hall. There’s no information currently regarding Annual Town Meeting. Please click here for updates.
Buckland
The Town Clerk, Select Board and Moderator have determined that Buckland residents will have the chance to cast their vote for Town Officials on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, and will hold Annual Town Meeting on Saturday, June 27, 2020. Please click here for more info.
Charlemont
Charlemont Select Board voted to set the new date for Charlemont’s Annual Town Election to Tuesday, June 30, 2020. Hours for this election have been reduced and the polls will open at 3:00pm and close at 7:00pm. Please click here for more info.
Colrain
The Fiscal Year 2021 Annual Town Meeting has been re–scheduled for Saturday, June 20, 2020, at 1:00pm. The Meeting will be held on the grounds of the Town Office located at 55 Main Rd. Please click here for more info.
Conway
Town Meeting has been postponed to Saturday, June 20, 2020, at 1:00pm. It will be held outdoors, with rain dates of June 21, June 27, and June 28.
